On May 22nd an EF1-EF2 tornado struck the south side of La Crosse causing widespread damage along its path. Fortunately for residents, the storm caused few minor injuries and no deaths. Tri-State Ambulance responded with 13 ambulances, multiple supervisors and managers with response vehicles, and over 40 total staff. Several mutual aid ambulances also assisted with disaster response as well as system-wide coverage of EMS requests.
